Todd Roberts taught 6th grade in Emporia Public schools and 3rd grade in Derby prior to working at Emporia State. He currently works with the BEST Program, which is a partnership between Butler CC and Emporia State for elementary education majors. He recruits, advises, teaches Social Studies Methods and Classroom Management, as well as supervising student teachers in PDS sites in the Wichita Area.Todd incorporates Whole Brain Teaching (WBT) into his class with pre-service teachers as a way to increase engagement and model research based instruction. In Spring 2019 he received his Gold Certification! He also uses Population Education in his classroom. This provides hands on, real world experience for students with lesson plans pre-made and ready to be taught.
