My goal is to be a lifelong learner & educator. I operate on lattes, chocolate, & running and my most recent goal is to complete my first marathon (Oct 13th)! I was the 2019 Kansas History Day Junior Teacher of the Year and was a 2019 National History Day Jr Level Teacher of the Yr Candidate. I've been working with Kansas Strong since the creation of their education program, now serving as an Educational Consultant and a Master Teacher, teaching Kansas teachers about our energy curriculum and how to integrate these resources in the classroom. I am currently learning to lead positive change in my school, and I hold two masters degrees in Curriculum and Instruction: Special Education: Gifted and Building Leadership/ Administration. In Jan 2019, my mom passed away of dementia, so I am additionally passionate about learning more about the brain and I put forth strong effort to not be another statistic.
